I've never understood how these expensive basses 'sustain for days'. I really don't want my bass to sustain for days. I'd be happy with a minute, complacent with maybe two. If i wanted my bass to ring for days (which would be annoying putting it down and coming back into the room 10 minutes later wondering what the annoying hum was) I think I'd just get a regular bass and buy an ebow or something to save on costs.... jeez hmffft, ring for days.....:scowl:

Well, that is the defining feature of the Skjold headstock and not a feature I have seen on an Alembic before.

I agree its the defining characteristic of the Skjold, but the Alembic one has been around a long time. Its just not a standard I dont think.
