Double Bass On the Gig Bridge Troubleshooting

I'm on the gig and my Ab (G string) is buzzing. So I raise the adjusters and everything goes to hell.
Well, not quite that bad but I can't seem to get a comfortable setup.
The strings ofcourse feel tighter, but more importantly, the sound is a little choked like the bass isn't vibrating freely anymore.
The bridge position looks good in terms of right angle to the table and the bridge feet are flush.
Using the grain lines on the top, I can see that the bridge feet are pretty much centered between the
f holes.
I played around with lowering/heightening both adjusters shifting the strings back and forth between the treble and bass sides of the fingerboard but never got it right.

Any tips for methodically getting the an optimal setup in this situation?

Thanks,
Dave

There is clearance at the nut I went through the procedure on youtube by Shanks Strings (excellent shop BTW) and the situation improved some but not all together.

Afterwards I recorded examples of playing lightly, moderately digging in and more aggressively digging in. The goal is to be able to at least moderately dig in on the Ab and A on the G string.
