One Bass Two Sounds (J and P)

What bass does the best job of covering both a fender P and J bass tones?

I was thinking an L2000 or a Schecter Model T

I am sure this has been covered but I searched and didn't find what I was looking for.

One that has J pups in neck and bridge position and a P pup set in the middle of those. For allmost there so long as you have no interest in J neck sound any PJ bass.
