One too many 8x10s??

How entirely predictable, talkbass.

I don't get all the "they're going to go deaf!" posts. It's like a huge segment of talkbass is entirely unaware that there are these things called ear plugs that have been around for quite a while now. They're used pretty widely in the doom metal community.

Also, the posts about "I couldn't tell she was a woman, huh huh." Real damn classy, guys.

Always fun to have really low expectations justified.

I want to know how they get that third row of cabs up there. 810's are NOT light. Mine outweighs me by quite a bit.

These guys are locals from Athens, husband and wife. They've been doing this for going on twenty years now. Yes all those speakers are on. I've seen them set up and break down it's not that big of a deal. It's loud but not as loud as you'd expect. They are both good musicians. They also pack out venues all over America.

Who's more likely to be who in this situation?

Looks like they got a feature on NPR and are reliably drawing a sizable crowd. How's your band doing?

Not trying to be inflammatory, just pointing out facts.

As much as I am a loyal NPR listener, they often highlight some of the most pretentious, hipster-approved music available, regardless of its actual merit. That's not an opinion one way or another about Jucifer, but rather a statement about NPR's musical credibility. With that said, NPR has turned me onto some cool stuff as well, such as Yuna.

1973 called and wants their stage set back...:eyebrow:

But I don't fall for horrible camera phone recordings, the second video did help the cause. And yes, props to a husband and wife team in a band going at it (musically, of course)...

With the greatest respect Sartori, I didn't realize the guitar player was a female. Now that I do, and that the band is a husband/wife collaboration, I sincerely wish them well. I don't "get" the music and have no idea what the vocals were saying but there again it's not my genre.
