Onerr Pedals?

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Onerr were a Brazilian company who made pedals under license from Roland Japan who are of course, the owners of Boss.

Were these pedals that Onerr produced direct copies of the Boss pedals available at the time?

Brazil's importation restrictions probably prompted the license, just like they begat VW Do Brasil.

Like VW Do Brasil, Onerr may have made some pedals unique to the local market, in addition to the regular direct Boss pedal models.



They look a little klunkier, though I like the aesthetic, and look to be made of plastic.
Almost no chance of accidentally stomping on the knobs engaging/disengaging the effect (you'd have to be pretty clumsy to stomp on a knob here!).

First I heard of Onerr was this thread, so... no idea as to quality of construction or anything about them, but I'm interested to learn about them.




Perhaps get on a Portuguese translation-engine and explore some Brazilian forums?

I've did a bit more digging on this. The first wave of Onerr pedals were indeed direct copies from the Roland/Boss line-up. They were an all metal casing and chassis - look pretty solid from what I've read online. The second (and last) wave were pedals that Onerr had designed themselves has Boss had entered the Brazilian market and took back the licenses. This meant that the second wave were similar but not quite Boss copies. Looks like Onerr shut up shop around 2004/2005.
