Double Bass Online Videos or DVD

I am looking for some instructional methods on bowing technique either to view on the web or buy on dvd. I am a newbie and have only really played pizz. style with jazz groups. Any suggestions? They're appreciated.

Hehe, I know that guy, i met him at Victor Wooten's Bass and Nature camp this last summer. He's a really cool guy and from what i gather a good teacher in person. Upright bass technique is a tough thing to cover in a youtube video.


You may want to check out Art of the Bow by Francois Rabbath or if you can get a copy of it Gary Karr has a video called Bassically Karr... Overall the videos may be a bit advanced for a beginner, but in both videos they discuss the basics of their technique. - Also make note that these two bassists have very different techniques, you can probably find a lot more info on this board about the differences.
