Ooooh, here we go again!!!

Ok, so share about the pickup placement now....
Did you specify where they go?
They are curious placements. I’ll definitely want to hear some sound clips when you get that beauty up and playing!
I know i love my humbucker/double J combo, i get a certain fullness out of it that I don’t get out of my other basses.

They look like they're in the right spots to me. It should work out with me having a 60s and 70s jazz in one bass.

I found a little more green, and diluted it a bit. Managed to lighten it up just enough. I think she's good to go. Let a that all dry, sanding sealer, and 40 coats of lacquer. Bam!

Pots showed up too, so now all that's left is my bridge, output jack, and the three way gibson switch.

Even closer!

What make is the jazz style bass with the thin upper horn in the bottom photo? That body shape intrigues me.
That's a prs kestrel.

They're nice basses. But, you need to gut the electronics. Stock pots and pickups are trash.

I've actually owned two of them. that burst and a red one.

Alright, check it out guys. Black done, and 2 coats of clear lacquer.

Dudes, it was freaking perfect! Then, I come around the corner to check it out, and I find my autistic 6 year old, can in hand, painting my bass.

"Beaux!!! Nooooooooooooooo!!!!"

Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahaha! Man...

You ever watch that YouTube video where that dude lays out his son's video games on the yard, and runs them over with a lawn mower? It was like that.

I just left it. I'm done starting over, and the pickguard pretty much covers it.

Oh, don't trip on the paint on the neck. It's a warmoth Tele neck. It's trash. I will never put that thing on anything. It's just a body holder now.

Anyway, quick sand tonight, and start the real clear.
