I've had my XO BMS for about a month now, and the only complaint I have is that it has a lot of trouble with my low open E. There's no problem with any of the other open strings, and no problem on the F on the first fret. On the E, it registers the attack multiple times, coming out all muddy and farty, and there's no way around it with just an adjustment of the trigger slider. So I was wondering if someone could help me choose one of these options:
- I suck and my technique playing the open E sucks. I deserve the sound I get because I'm not keeping the sting in control.
- There's something wrong with the set up of my bass.
- BMSs have trouble with Low E's
Really, I'd just like to know if they're finicky on open E for anyone else, or if I can fix this by working on my playing. It's a pretty annoying problem.
Thanks!
