Opening a MEC

Yes, I know it's sealed with epoxy, but... Just wonder if anybody managed to without ruining it? I have a strong urge to rework the magnetic system (I find it's blades too thin).

FWIW:

it can be done if you know what you're doing, which I wouldn't.

I think Kent Armstrong rewound an epoxy potted Aria pup for a TB'r. Not cheap in recall.
