Well, I broke down and bought a pair....was looking at the Mackies, but, as alway's, cash was the reason I went with the Tapco's. Weight is very cool (78lbs.), but the wattage is different ( tapco's are only 500, I believe the mackies are 800). But for the price ( $1030.00), I think that these speaker's are very cool! I run them along with my Mackie 1530's, and I've noticed the system is really sounding great! Nice Thump, but, these Tapco's are Front loaded with small port's on the bottom. If you're looking for a 18 sub at a great price, check these out!
