Options for the UK

My family and I may be moving to the UK for a year or two for work in about 12 months and will be renting a small flat that will make building hard. I am wondering what options exist, if any, for workshop rental space that has all of the tools I am accustomed to using (e.g. bandsaw, table saw, jointer, router, etc.)... Any UK builders out there that have any ideas?

I'm not aware of any companies that offer shop space, but I probably wouldn't be aware of them being out in the country. I would imagine your best bet would be getting here and either renting a space and buying your own tools or find a good carpenters shop and hope he's willing to rent it out to you a few nights a week. Which area are you moving to?

Also so you don't give up hope, check out some of the handtool builds on the My Les Paul forum for inspiration should you not be able to find anywhere to rent.

Depending on which part of the UK you are in you may have a hackerspace nearby.
