Orange 1x15 cab feedback

I am thinking of getting a light portable cab, and notice an orange 1x15 for sale at a store (2nd hand). I checked the specs, and its 400 watts.
Would this be enough to cut through practice and gigs, to get over drums? Or is a single 1x15 way too deep?
Am I better with 2x12?

If anyone owns the orange cab can you please give me your feedback/review of it.
Cheers,
Lukas

These appear to use the same EV TL606 design as ye olde Mesa Diesel 115.
Of which I have two, and love them to death.
Mine are filled wtih Eminence 3015 Kappa-lite neos.
The boxes are tuned to go down to 60hz IIRC...plenty of low end, but not soft, mushy or boomy.
Nice present mids, smooth highs...with the right amp and bass, I don't miss tweet/horns at all!

What head are you using?

Also, There generally isn't a huge difference in volume between a 2x10 and a 1x15. The difference is purely personal IMO as they sound different. Many like a 2x10 as there can be better articulation of the mids. To each their own.

Anyways, I have used a 1x15 Ampeg cab with a small Markbass F1 for a year at practice and all gigs except large outdoor ones and have never had volume or sound issues.

I'm missing something here Chef if you've got the 2 1x15 MB why the need or desire for the Orange?

I didn't start the thread...I don't need an Orange, tho if one fell in my lap, I'd sure try it.
I haven't measured the Orange, nor looked at the dimensions to see if it's the exact match to TL606 specs that the mesa is, but it looks like it.
Great box.
