I played through one (with the orange 4x10 and AD200B on top of it) on Friday.

I don't know how it sounds by itself, the whole rig sounded great.

I pulled the grille off and it looks like an Eminence 15 to me...the 10s in the 4x10 looked like Eminence too.

At $549, it seems quite pricey to me... I bet you'd enjoy a nice used Peavey 1x15 or a used Avatar 115 (since Dave doesn't make new ones any longer) just as much.

I think you've summed it up quite well, a 15 is a 15, most manufacturers put in basicly bog standard speakers with few if any changes from the catalogue and charge for their nameplate.

Mapquest tells me that it's only 420 miles from Fremont, OH to Davenport, IA!!!:D

Yep! Lately, I've been travelling to Cedar Rapids, IA on business about every two weeks... West Music is just a short drive south of I-80 in Davenport. I checked at the Cedar Rapids store on Friday and they don't have any on the show room floor...don't know about any of the West Music stores in/near IA City.

I have yet to visit my NE/IA/MO/KS rep in his territory... but, I did eat the most kick ass BBQ at Stubb's (Austin) w/the purchaser from West, while we were there at NAMM. What a cool cat!

Of course, he doesn't stock any of the bass amps/cabs just yet, but I am working on that. :D
