My DB750 shut down the other day and Marco at Aguilar said that I could send it in to them or have a local tech look at it. Anyone have a good referral in the O.C.?
I've gone this route before... a couple of times. The pickings are pretty slim here in Orange County, Ca for qualified amp techs. Call after call got me literally no where except back where I started from: myself. I just gave up and did some troubleshooting over the phone with tech support gurus until the solution was discovered and then a self-repair.
Not in OC but close. Not sure if he services Aggies though. Give Arlin a call. AMPWERX 1935 E 7TH ST LONG BEACH, CA, 90813-5104 Phone#: 562-591-1423
i've used a place called futara electronics in anaheim near disneyland. they're an authorized boogie repair shop and they've done fine work on my 400+. Futara Electronics 665 So. Manchester Ave Anaheim, CA, 92802 (714)535-6201
I'm sure he can fix you up. Got a tie dye shirt? You'll be stepping into the '60's His shop is in Gilmore Music at that addy. So, do'nt think you're at the wrong place. Just walk in and head to the back.
Just got back. Definitely a throw back to the 60's, but very nice and seemed to be confident he could solve the problem. Thanks for the rec.
If they haven't already been added, can you guys add these people to this thread: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=519922 I keep meaning to make a spreadsheet or something to compile this, but I still haven't gotten around to it.
So how was your experience with Ampwerx? I've got an old Ampeg V4B I'm thinking about taking over there. Anyone have a good ampeg tube amp tech out there in OC/LA?
They were very good. Arlin did a great job. Amp is working perfectly. I'd definitely recommend him. The guy knows amps.
