I can't comment from direct experience, but it would seem on the face of it that Orange voices their amps somewhere close to the opposite end of the tonal spectrum desired by most double bass players. That's by no means to say that it couldn't work, and perhaps better for some music styles/genres than others, but I'd say you're likely to be something of a trailblazer if you decide to go down this route. Let us know how it goes if you do!

I guess im a bit late, but I own one, and all I can say is that its probably not the best for DB, imho anyway.

Its very warm and bassy, but not it that woody way, maybe even a bit boomy.

I personally like it, it sounds cool with my Pbass and a OD pedal.

That is all.
