Orange TB500 vs Ampeg SVT 7 Pro

Hey everyone,

First off, I wanted the Orange TB500 because I wanted a small amp with a tube pre, and liked the sound it had in the demo's I'd watched on Youtube, BUT NOW my decision is wavering - I just came across the Ampeg SVT 7 Pro the other day and thought I should finally ask the more knowledgable people on TB for some advice.

-If anybody can shed any light on which of these amps would be better suited with a Berg NV610 or NV412 AND sound like a cross between JPJ's tone in Ramble On and Jared Followill's tone on Because of the Times, I would really appreciate any input. (Fatness with very slight OD).

I know EQ is a huge part of the sound produced, but which of these would require less tweaking and be more versatile? I want to be able to punch audience members in the chest/guts with bass.

Thanks in advance.
