Hey, new member here, first post.
I just got an Orange Terror 1000. I'm unsure about what the impedance switch actually does (I'm not very knowledgeable about electronics to begin with).
My cab is 8 ohm so would I want to keep it in 8 ohm position all the time?
Considering how much power this thing puts out, I'm wondering if putting it in 4 ohm mode to an 8 ohm cab would actually help protect a cab that's rated for less wattage, since 4 ohm amps usually put out less power to 8 ohm speakers. But I may be totally wrong about that?
Sorry if this has been asked before, did a search but couldn't find it.
Thanks!
