Ordered my dream bass.

:):)
I feel like “dream bass” is misused here. You describe your new bass, which looks really nice. But then you end by saying you really want a Fender 70s jazz but this is the next best thing. It seems like the Fender 70s jazz is your “dream bass.” Perhaps I’m being pedantic.
Fair enough but it's as close as I'm ever gonna wanna get without being a professional.
Just couldn't think of a better way to word it

Good choice . I bet it does last a long time for you . My wife bought me one last year and it's been great . Mine is the best Jazz I have ever had .

I'm very new at bass. Got a Peavey Fury IV and like it but when I think bass I think Ian Hill. Judas Priest has been my favorite band for over 40 years. This is the image in my head when I think bass.View attachment 4342076
So I ordered one of these. G&L Tribute J B. Can't get a real 70s Fender but I'm real stoked about getting this!View attachment 4342078
G&L's are GREAT basses and guitars. At least the ones I have played. I have a Fender jazz that is based on a 70's and I adore it. If I was somewhere I couldn't have my personal bass and someone handed me a G&L jazz, I wouldn't hesitate to use it.
