Organizing the forum with sub-forums

This isn't a complaint, I'm just asking this out of ignorance because I don't know anything about forum software or what goes into setting up and organizing a forum like this.

What I'd like to know is, why aren't/can't there be dedicated manufacturer sub-forums in the main 'Bass Guitar Forums' section? Everything just goes under 'Basses' as opposed to having sub-forums for Fender, Gibson, Music Man, etc.

Just curious.

Because most people own more than one brand of bass and we prefer to have all the discussion together. There are 'club' threads for a number of manufacturers where you can just talk about that particular brand if you want.
