Origin Effects Bassrigs. Using both live?

So I just got the Origin Effects Super Vinatge and love it straight into effects return of my GK legacy head into Barefaced Six10 cab.

Im using it cleanish and adding a Fairfield Barbershop to add extra grit,Grizzly bass for a different tone, or a DG B3K for more overdrive but I prefer the overdrive sound inside the Super Vintage preamp.

so now I'm think ohhhh what if I buy a second Origin Bassrig and set one clean and one dirty. Perhaps the black panel 64' for clean and the SV for dirty.

Into the amp head and onstage cab.
then using both XlR outs to the FOH and having 810 with SV and 2x15 cab sim with the 64' and selling my other pedals.

So two Bassrigs, is this crazy or is a this awesome? Go

The Bassrigs big thing is emulating the power section of their respective amps. If you're not using it for that, there are a ton of pedals that do the SVT pre thing well, but I can't think of many that are bass specific that do the Fender thing well, or even at all. I have the SV, it's a recent add and I haven't fully explored it yet or added to my board, but I really, really want the 64, as I *do* want that Fender power tube sound as well as the Fender pre-amp sound. Ever since I played through a Bassman for the first time years ago, that pillowy sag has stuck with me, and I hope I can get it with the 64.

Anyway, that's me - I don't see anything wrong with what you described, maybe it'll be awesome, especially if you have both DI to the mixer. I'm just some bass player on the internet though, not an expert in live sound. I'd like to hear about this.

I got the 64 today and it's great. Only played for about 30 minutes but I think I'm going to use both live and just switch one on and one off and go out the SV's 8x10 cab sim DI out and 1/4" to my amps power amp in (effect return)
The 64 is cleaner and fatter in Blackface mode and then I added a little amp out low bump as adding too much bass when the FAT switch is on overdrives it.
Loving both and can't wait to gig
