It's amazing how well this stuff works. Completely knocks out cold symptoms almost immediately. It makes you feel like you don't have a cold......for about a half hour. Then the congestion comes back and punches you in the face like a phlegmy boxing glove.

Yep Alcaseltzer Plus fizzy stuff, that stuff works. I don't get sick much, but that's my go to.

Like the guys above said, Zicam does work, but you have to start taking it right when you feel you might be getting sick. The only issue I have with the stuff if I think it may only delay the onset of the cold, not prevent it from happening. I follow the instructions of continuing to taking it for two full days after systems are gone. But I've noticed, maybe half the time I end up getting sick anyway about two weeks later. I think the cold virus only goes dormant and then comes on later. This hasn't happened every time. It's a good product, it does help, I use it every time I feel I may be catching something.

  • Something containing guaifenesin to stop it from settling into your chest
  • Plenty of fluids, and keep up the humidity (steam, whatever)
  • Vap-O-Rub works, but I don't like it, so usually don't use it
  • Sleep in a very warm place, and maybe do some sweating
  • Relax, and let go of stress
If you do these things, your cold will be easy to manage, and won't stay with you long, or get worse. 100% on this one.
