Other bands that sound like Pink Floyd?

Pretty good stuff but that song needs some bass. It is completely missing the low end. Just sayin.
I have a lot of issues with Tangerine Dream, and other Floyd-inspired bands. The biggest one is heart. Pink Floyd gave a lot of their real emotions to their playing/lyrics/vocal performances that you will not find in "ambient" bands. They really do deserve to be considered as one of the greatest bands of all time, and that is why.
It's not about skill; it's not about production; it's not about any of that stuff if you don't have a story to tell, that you really do care about.
Pink Floyd was all heart, and they paid for their fame in ways many people can't imagine.
Wouldn't have occurred to me, but yeah, Kate Bush does have her Floyd-ish moments. Not all the time. But any excuse to listen to a Kate tune...
I was thinking the same thing. Just looks like the set designer put it there for some reason. I guess you can call that creative licensing.
Looks like the neon signs and vertical lines are some '80s minimalist idea of cityscape stage props....Next on our stage, Jan Hammer performs the theme from Miami Vice.

Yep, I did on page 5, but I didn't cite any examples(with their back catalog, there's just so many); I'll throw in a couple from thew good old days...
I just saw them in LA last Friday, 2/27/15, it was weird without Marty, but new guy Ian put in a respectable performance.
True, but there is marked difference between their first two albums and the more Roger-dominant albums like Dark Side through The Final Cut.

I feel Ummugumma and Atom Heart Mother are more like Piper and Saucerful than The Wall and Final Cut so it make more sense to me to lump them into the Syd era rather than the Roger era, hence "pre-Roger" since Syd was already gone by those albums.
Really enjoyed this video. One thing I noticed is that DT seems to play some of the songs like 2 to 4 BPM faster than Floyd. Good stuff.
Radiohead sounds like Pink Floyd on "ok computer." Otherwise not so much, speaking as a big fan of both bands.

edit: I think Dream Theater covering Rush is where I decided I really didn't like dream theater. They played the song more like 20-40 bpm faster! /exaggerating
