This discussion took place last night, interested to hear, from those that care to weigh in, the answer to this question - was the output of great composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, etc. limited by their own lack of creativity or by the limited amount of transcribers available to capture the music? In other words, had programs like Finale being available at the time, would we have seen a lot more music available to us?
