When the cable is pressed toward the back strap button of my Spector, I get a loud popping noise. I see three wires attached to the three prongs of the jack. All of them seem soldered well. What may cause this problem?

Output Jack Problem: Loud Popping Noise

I had that happen with a Steinberger I own. Simple fix for me. The jack was loose because the smaller connector was lightly engaging the plug. I gently bent the lower connector toward the longer connector to make a tighter fit for the cable. All is now well.
Replace the jack. It's a ~$10 item if you can replace it yourself. Bending the contacts works great if you have access to the back of the jack.
Are the prongs making weak contact with the cable?
It's plausible that moving the cable around is causing the ring terminal to break contact with the sleeve of the guitar cable momentarily, causing the preamp to lose power and pop as the power is restored.

I bent the smaller prong toward the longer one. It didn't solve the problem. If I hold the cable at a position that causes the "pop," the output signal is completely cut. So, I guess it's the connector to the power that causes the problem.
It could be touching another component or wire in the cavity. It could also be the instrument cable itself. Have you tried others?
Replacing it is the best bet. You could have a small crack in one of the jack's connectors that could cause the popping.
Check the fit of the jack plug before you start unsoldering things!

I bought a right angle cable last week and haven't had a pop at all. I LOVE the right angle cable. Finally, I can play my Spector sitting on a sofa.
Sounds to me like it may have been a cable problem rather than the jack. Either way, glad it's working for you
