Output jack. Stupid question

I'm going to install a new preamp. The one in the bass now is a Belcat. I removed the nut inside the body, but the output jack seems to be one piece. Is there a way to get the end piece off so I don't have to clip the wires in case I want to use it again?

You'll need to cut/resolder the wires. Or...better yet just un-solder the wires from the jack.
