Anyone know anything about this? Seller says Ovation Applause Made in Korea? Looks nice, but can't find any info about it. It's 2 hours away from me, so want to know if worth taking a drive to check it out.

Ovation Applause Electric bass?

Ovation sold those solid body Applause instruments some years ago (80s? 90s?). Korean made, OK for low dough. $150 would be top dollar, $75 a better price.

Interesting. I have serviced a few Applause basses for the school system. They were cheaply made and poor quality. I had no idea that Ovation was doing that.
Is it related to the Ultra Bass? I bought one years ago because the entire bass cost less than the Kahler that was mounted on it. It played great so I didn't have the heart to take the bridge off of it.
I bought this Applause bass in about 1990. Still got it and I use it as my backup bass.
Sigh... black applause pj was my first bass ever back in middle school in the 90s. I think I paid $100 back then. Good times.

Same black head stock, black hardware

Heavy-- must be mahogany?
Bought it for 30.00. --- it was soft by out baking in the sun at some used stuff dealer
Dirty as he'll -- cleaned it up, did some resoldering-- plugged it in -- worked
You bought great I can give this to a nephew or play around/experiment with some upgrade mods w/out breaking the bank
That was '06 I think
Just took it down off the wall n tuned it up, action is actually pretty good
Hadn't thought about it in yearsyears
Certainly no competition to my RIC or Mike Kelly
