I've been using this software with Pro Tools 10 for a while now. I've compared it to Amplitube SVX but as I am using MarkBass for my live rig, it is closer to my sound than AmpliTube.

No doubt that Overload has great modeling products. And it's great when manufacturers like Markbass lend their names and ears to tuning the modeling products to match the sound of the actual gear sound. The dynamics and sound are incredible and Overload seems to have a few extra tricks up their sleeves here.

I have been through every single software amp sim for bass, and I've tried the majority of the hardware ones as well. I recently tried the Mark Studio 2, and I am absolutely blown away. I think this amp sim CRUSHES everything else out there in terms of overall tone and flexibility. I used to be a huge Ampeg SVX fan, but I can't see myself using it ever again after using Mark Studio 2. This plugin ROCKS!

i JUST stumbled onto this.

i can't believe it missed it - and i thought i had my tone dialed in for recording.

actually, i did. after months of wrangling.

i was using Ignite's SHB-1 followed by their TPA power amp into an Aguilar cab sim.

sounded great - BUT, it was a one trick pony.

i tried the Mark 2 as a goof (because i REALLY don't like TH3 for guitar).

holy crap - it nailed the Ignite tone and then some.

i've tried most of the bass sim stuff for recording that's available.

Mark 2 is the one.

for fun, i plugged in my Godin fretless A4 to see what the Mark 2 could do.

WOW!

as gorgeous as the Godin A4 is, it's been a tough beast to tame for recording.

not with the Mark 2 - plug and friggin' GO!!!

after nearly 5 years and MANY amp sims later,

Mark Studio 2 is still a fantastic tool!
