Overseas amp / PA rentals?

This may be a stretch but...
Does anyone have any experience with renting amps or PAs in Paris? The new record has apparently gotten some interest with a promoter in France, and a brief European tour may be in the works later this year.
Suffice it to say, this is my first experience with any gig-related overseas travel. After going through the forums, my suspicions were proven correct when I discovered the best suggestion from the TB community was to only bring the bass, cords, and pedals and rent equipment upon arrival. Does anyone have any experience with renting amps in France?
Of course, if you were to suggest another option (going direct?), I would be listening!

You may have to join to post. (Don't worry it's free, and an amazing site!) I'm sure someone there could at least lead you in the right direction. I needed support for a gig on the other side of the country, and had several great leads the same day. I also have a close friend that did a 12 week show in Paris late 2012. I'll see if he might have any contacts.
