There is an interview posted on Jason Heath's Contrabass Conversations site of BSO Principal Bassist Ed Barker. It is CBC 120 and was conducted by CBC co-host John Grillo.

About 25 minutes or so into the podcast, Mr Barker reviews the essential on-string and off-string bow strokes (legato, marcato, sautille, etc.) and comments on the mechanics of each stroke and its variants. I found this to be an excellent overview of the subject.
