this is my first stab at a poll, so hopefully it wont explode on me or anything... :D So, what is your favorite combination of Fender Precision or Jazz with Rounds or Flats?

    I voted the carrot because I have 2 votes: P-flats, J-rounds....

Wow, I'm in the popular class for once. Love that crispified P thump. Like a big, thick steak "Pittsburged!"

I'm settling on half rounds on all my basses i think ....i have a set of flats on one of my p basses right now but when they die i think i will go half round on all 3 basses!

+1 One of each. Best of all worlds (small worlds they might be...)

    PJ, stainless steel rounds.

  7. Rounds on everything, nickel or stainless. Flats are just too dull for me.

  8. I was all crazy for Chromes on both, but recently moved to Rounds.
Just needed more punch and definition.
For some tones, though, there's nothing like Flats.
Good reason to have multiple basses strung differently. :)

  9. J with flats. Hell, anything with flats. (IMHO, YMMV, etc) :D

  10. Well let's see. Currently, I have flats on my Jazz V-type and tapewounds on my P. :bassist:

Oh, and phosphor bronze rounds on my acoustic.

    Not actually named Phil
i based my vote (P-rounds) on which I would take if I had to have just one of those basses. It would be best all-round for what I do and love

  14. I love both P with rounds and flats...been playing flats recently. And thats when I realized...I need another P bass but with rounds! :D

  15. Xavier P= flats
    Ibanez P/J= Pressurewounds
    Electra Humbucker/P= Round Steels

  16. The poll won't allow you to choose one for each bass so here's my choices.

Jazz Bass - Rounds always or now Pressure Wounds. Brings out the full tonality of the bass.

PBass - Flats always. PBasses love flats for that big bold thump they provide.

One P with flats and a mute for thumpy goodness
One P with SS rounds for aggressive tones
One J with nickel rounds for versatility
One fretless J with "bright" fats (chromes) for awesomeness

    I voted P w/ flats.

  18. Precision/Humbucker and Jazz/Humbucker, both with rounds.

I voted jazz flats because my jazz is p/j config.

  20. Got both types, but I like my JJ with half rounds, PJ with Fender flats
