What is this Precision Bass Model? It looks like a '62 reissue, but it also looks like there's a signature on the headstock.

This is an MIA limited edition 2006 60th Anniversary P-Bass. Basically MIA specs but with a '62 AV pickup. I installed a tort guard on it.

Basically a hod rod 62 P!

That's only the second FotoFlame I've seen beside mine. How did you date it? My serial starts with T on the neck plate. Also is yours all original? Mine has a white perloid pickguard and I wondered if that was added?

Yeah my Foto had a white pearl gaurd but i broke it (accident). When i installed the tort gaurd on the Sunburst P i used its parchment guard on the Foto. Somehow i like it more than the pearl.

Also you can date it from Fender's website here: Invalid Link Removed

Thanks for quick response and info. I do like the parchment guard, which I'm thinking of putting on that Ibanez I have, but wanted to leave the Foto original (except for the Seymour-Duncan I installed, but I still have the old one).
Looks like mine is the same year(s) as yours, '94-95.

I'm a P-Bass whore. Here is a partial family shot. Not pictured is my Rickenbacker, which has a Precision pickup, and my 1971 Precision which is black with a mint guard and a maple fretboard. Both of them are currently on loan. The graffiti bass is a project bass.
I also have about 4 Precisions in different states of being modded that are not pictured until I can drum up the funds for them.

There's really nothing quite like an anodized gold guard weathered by the sands of time. The '57 look is the way to go.

Thanks to TB and this club, I just noticed that there is a kitchen knife on my floor.

The white basses with gold PG are actually less gold in real life. I dig it.
