Very sweet looking bass! Looks like you modeled it after an Elite model.
Pretty much, except it doesn't have a preamp. I'm thinking of adding 1 more switch to make both pickups either be in series or parallel with each other.

What is this Precision Bass Model? It looks like a '62 reissue, but it also looks like there's a signature on the headstock.

Add that switch, man. It'll add a twist to the sound that you can use to change things up!!!

I've been playing Precisions for 30 years.
Currently own.
1965-P-bass (Ice Metallic Blue)
1970-Fretless-P-bass. ( LPB, rosewood fingerboard)
1982-Reissue-62-P-bass.(Black)
Just picked up 1999 USA Hot Rod P-bass.
Alder body, Sunburst, Rosewood fingerboard.
This bass is dead mint, new, never opened till wed. of this week.
Was in store room of music store for 9 years.
I'm digging this bass a lot.
You can never have to many Precisions?
Does this one count. It has a P-bass pickup and the shape sort of resembles a P-bass. Can I enter it also.

That's awesome man - I was thinking about building one from Warmoth, but they all require the p/g...oh well, wth...I gotta do it!

Sweetness indeed! If I had a looper and a drum machine along with that, I'd never have a problem with bandmates!
Thanks for the complement. Go for it. As far as mine, I just traced a P-bass body and resized it to accomodate 2 necks. The next one I build will probably be a fretted/fretless doubleneck, or maybe a 4 string/8 string doubleneck.
My only problem is finding cases big enough for them.

Sure, as soon as I get the switch in there. In case anyone was wondering, the other 2 switches are series/parallel for each pickup. Couple that with the one I want to add, and that should open this bass up to many different possibilities.

I've just purchased a 2008 Fender P Bass! ( Candy Cola / Maple Fingerboard) I can't wait for it to get here. I post pics soon.

The other is an Ibanez Challenger 1977 according to the serial number. I had to change the tort pickguard, it was warped like crazy. The only mod before I got it I believe is the early 90's Seymour-Duncan Active PUP that growls. If anyone knows anything about them, please let me know.
