Bought this 1999 MIM on ebay, cheap...It's got a few dings/dents and was missing both knobs so no one else bid on it. I was really pleased with sound but decided to replace pickups with Fender Original '62s.

Wow! I love this bass. Presently this is no. 1.

I originally built it with a white Pearloid pickguard, but I swapped it out for a Tortoise

Alder body with Vintage White Nitro (my first Nitro job!)
Maple/Rosewood neck

Nordstrand NP-4 pickup
Tort pickguard
CTS pots - 250k Vol + Tone with .047uf Orange Drop cap
Dunlop strap locks
Rotosounds
Hipshot string retainer


note: this bass is not for sale, and was not built as a commercial item. also note that these images were taken before I completed the set-up (who would intonate like that???)


I'm building a similarly equipped P in Dauphine Blue ... hopefully I'll have images of it in about two months. I'm building this one because I need to use that white Pearloid pickguard somewhere
