P bass finish combination help?

Prefer white / red tort / maple, but I voted white/white/maple in hopes that you'll come to your senses later PG easier to change than a neck -- and cheaper too!

Interesting, I had to make a choice between the first two when I ordered my new Am. Std. P last year. I ended up with the Oly White/maple as I could get it a month sooner than the black/maple(I dunno why). I had the dealer swap the tort guard for gold anno(with tug bar) and had it re-strung with Chromes before it ever came home. It looks really great, like a late 50's P! However, black/maple with a black guard looks really cool too, especially if you are into that 70's look. Good luck!!!

Just my preference,...... but I like any of the 3 you have proposed..... leaning towards the mock '57 look with the gold guard, which, I believe, looks good with the Vintage White, Red or a Two Tone Burst. The pearloid Guard looks a bit Glam...... (at least to me.....maybe it's the blocks on the neck.) I had a Black Jazz with a Maple board and black guard... It really came together after I installed all black hardware......

does your neck have the pearl blocks ???

At this time I'm in my Vintage White stage so YMMV

White/Gold/Maple just looks so classy. That would definitely be my choice. I am no hipster, but so many people have black/black that I would just want something different. I love the white/gold. The new Epiphone Royale Les Pauls, to me, are real nice. Looks great for a P too.

I picked the classic '57 look: white w/gold PG maple. I have a 3-tone w/tort & rosewood, and a black w/maple so, I am more choosing what I'd get next...if those were the only choices. I do like the look though.

Black with maple or the white with white blocks, but only if you get the blocks on the white one. Otherwise, it's black and maple all the way.
