I can't stand the large rout beetween the body and pickup on most P basses so I drill the access to the cavity this way. It also lets the owner the possibility of removing the guard and using a banana plate.

haha, its all mine :hyper:

here's some sound clips I did up quickly if you're interested

3 clips for 3 different tone knob positions: all the way on, in the middle and all the way off... from the preamp out on my gbe1200, FET channel, eq all flat. Into my asus xonar essence STX computer soundcard

pbasstonefull.mp3 - 0.54MB
pbasstonehalf.mp3 - 0.38MB
pbasstoneoff.mp3 - 0.33MB

Its strung with regular gauge daddario chromes... but I'm thinking about changing up to a higher gauge because I'm used to the tension of playing a jazz over the bridge pickup so I want something closer to that (this is my first p-bass :smug:). Pup is a nordstrand np4, neck is jazz profile

It's a great bass, I was thinking about getting a Pbass, probably buying a Fender. But when you can get something like this for a similar cost to a new Fender Am. std P(in Australia :p ) it's a bit of a no brainer as far as I'm concerned
