I am trying to get uniform output from the pickups on my Fender American Special Precision Bass. I have since lowered to string height from the original fac specs of 6/64 and am having a difficult time getting the right balance from the pickup heights. Any suggestions would be helpful. I am trying to get all 4 strings to balance...

Usually you want to adjust the side under the E string farther away from the string, and the side under the A higher. Then adjust the D-G side similar, but closer to the D and G since they have less output.

So you are starting off following the curvature of the fretboard, but move the pickup farther from the bottom 2 strings because they are louder.
