I absolutely prefer the reverse P on a PJ bass...to me it gives the P pickup more cut and a better low end...but not as much mid-range honk as the standard P, but there obviously those who prefer that mid bark with a standard P.

Have two now; one is a passive 80's Schecter
That pickguard looks like it had a leg amputated! I'm guessing that's stock (or a nicely done refinish). It's just weird seeing a p-bass like that...

Sheldon's Super P/J is simply phenomenal. As close as I have found so far to being the perfect instrument for me, though I still love my other three basses.

I noticed some people are talking about reverse P- P/J's...
that's my lefty with a reverse-p not a photoshop edit
( boy is that pic old, because both basses have been modified and are no longer a mirror copy )

Wait, that's really a photo of just one bass sitting up next to a mirror...you kidder!
Engine207, the righty P/J has a preamp and a switch on it, and the lefty is now a P/HB

I had two pickguards "amputated" and chamfered, one white the other shell. They were extras I had laying around. The holes for the knobs on the Schetcter are not in standard locations. It was/is an experiment.
