P/J Pup Question

Hey all,
I've decided to replace my stock pups on my MIM precision deluxe.

I've narrowed it down to three different combos:

Nordstrand NPJ-4
Fralin LF-DPJSB
Seymour Duncan SPB3 / SJB3B Quarter Pounders

I absolutely love the tone of the Nord's. This thread exemplifies my point.

I've also heard good things about the Fralin, but I haven't had a chance to hear them. Sound clips anyone?

The Quarter Pounders are cheaper that my other two choices but I've heard good things.

Nordstrand's - $200.00
Fralin - $240.00
Seymour Duncan - $132.00

These are the prices I've found on various websites. Correct me if I'm wrong.

What do you guys think? I have the money to get whichever.
I'm really leaning towards the Nord's.

Simple. You already love the tone of the Nordstrands. Get them.

Myself I prefer the Basslines and use them myself. But they'll sound different than the Nordstrands and you might not like them.

i recommend the SD SJB/SPB-2's over the QP's. IMO the QP's are very scooped sounding with a somewhat harsh high end and a bit boomy on the lows. The -2's seem more balanced with sweet mids, big tight lows, and a nice, smooth top end.

I say go with the Nordstrand's. Granted i haven't heard that model in action but many others I have and i haven't heard one i don't like. The Basslines wouldn't be a bad choice either but, again, gotta love the Nordy's

I have passive Bart's in my P-J which sound pretty good. You might consider those, perhaps.

From what I've seen Lindy's pickups' new prices are the same everywhere.

I was just offering up that a place where I live has them for $160 a set. I know cause thats the price I was qouted just yesterday. I dont think they would mind taking a credit card over the phone and shipping them. Its a reputable place thats been in business for quite a while in Portland. Just trying to help you out, thats all
