P/J Wiring Help Please

Hi all,

So I'm about to start bringing an old P-bass back to life but I'm stuck on the parts I need to re-wire it. It's got a P/J config and I'd like to wire it Vol/Tone/3-way toggle. I just don't understand the value of the pots and which ones I need. 250k or 500k?

Anybody able to help and maybe point me in the direction of a very simple wiring diagram?

250ks would be the traditional value, but 500ks will be a bit brighter/hotter.
