P neck ?

Went to Guitar Center to check out some P basses. Do any of you know if there is a difference between the limited turquoise player p bass and regular player p bass as far as the neck? I have a player P and the neck feels thinner (front to back) than the player turquoise did. Also tried the squire anniversary p and the mia both had awesome necks!

What I do know, it having been corroborated numerous times empirically, is that no two Fender basses are exactly the same. Even if they came off the same CNC production run, built on the same day with consecutive serial numbers, etc. there will be small differences between two examples of the ostensibly same instrument.

Even with neck profiles being drastically different?

Maybe not "drastically" but different enough that my faith in Fender's QC is pretty low. My rule of thumb whenever shopping for a Fender bass has, for at least the last ~30 years, been Don't Shop For a Particular Model; Shop For The Actual One That You Are Going To Buy. And try as many as you can because the one you find most attractive may not be the model you originally thought it would be. Or, it may be...but only after you played a half dozen of that exact same model that you thought you wouldn't buy in a million years.
