P or PJ 600 and under

Hey! I’m in the market to buy new or used. Just wondering what the best bang for my buck would be. I’m looking at a Mexican P from 2004 for 550, a CV 60’s, and a Squier 40th P. Any other suggestions?

Just wondering what the best bang for my buck would be...

Yamaha has some good PJs in your budget, the BB and lower model TRBX lines.

I own two PJ's by Yamaha - BB435 and TRBX174EW. I paid $700 CAD ($516 USD) for both.

A Mexican p, a CV 60 and a 40th anniversary Squier are ALL very good options but you must absolutely give them a try before buying.

I tried many of these several times and some were total garbage while others were real gems.

A Sire p might also be good but I never tried one thoroughly yet.

Another option would be to get a used USA Peavy Fury from the 80's that’s in good condition and upgrade the pickups with some American ones, that would be a hell of a bass !
