P to PJ! What to do?

I have a question- Will a V/V/T/3-way switch work? Think of it this way- switch in middle position is both pickups on, with a volume for each, thus like a standard V/V/T. Switch either left or right bypasses the other pickup completely, thus the P sound would not be affected by the bridge PU.

Currently dreaming of a Precision with NP4/Big Split in P/J location, passive, with the above electronics layout.

That's how I currently have my PJ Jazz wired.

I love the HRPB, and since I rarely see them for sale, I'd guess at least a few others do too. I leave mine VVT bc I don't have any problem with it that way, and if I pick up a jazz bass there's no learning curve.

I am surprised to see someone who hates P/Js commenting so much on this thread. Here is the deal. P/Js are not P Basses and they are not J basses. Thinking that you are getting both is foolish. Take them for what they are.
I love the sound of my P/J because it sounds like a P/J. I use V/V/T with a series/parallel switch. Great sounding bass. Not a J, not a P, not a MM, not a______. It is a P/J.
