Painting

I am currently about to start a new project (restoring a old p-bass) and i am looking to paint it from fiesta red (i know i know) to black and fix the dents ect. Now my questions are... 1) Can i use normal car body filler for the dents? and 2) Will ordinery automotive spray paint be good enough? im thinking of getting a car sprayer to do it for me. and 3) if not what do i need.

Any help would be appreciated

yeah, bondo works, but the endes of the bondo's area tend to show unless you do a really good job with your sanding early in the process

you can use auto finishes, but theyre typically very thick

youll probably need to do more fine sanding as autobody places leave tons of swirl marks all over everything
