Pairing a MB 500 and a Schroeder 10/12

The MB 500 (fusion) has two channels. Each channel is rated 350 watts. But the amp is 500 watts. Not sure how they pull that off. The Schroeder cab is rated 700 watts and will be using one channel. If I want better lows what cab should I use in the 2nd channel to keep this rig on the light side weight wise. Thanks for the suggestions.

The MB Fusion is 500 watt into a 4 ohm load. It puts 300 into an 8 ohm load. There is one channel with two gain and master volume controls. So you can have two different gain structures but you only have 1 channel.

Great amp! My fav GK of all.

So... To be clear, the MBF is NOT a 2 channel or stereo amp. You have 1 power amp to play with. If the schro is 4 ohms, then that's it. 1 cab. If the schro is 8 ohms the. You can add a cab. From my experience, Schroeder cabs do not tend to play well with other cabs. Some of the Schroeder's are way cool though. A 4 ohm 21012 L would be awesome with an MBF... The 10/12 is not a cab I could get happy with for long. Way too much mid range for me...

My MBF and fEarful 12.6 plus 12.sub is stupid loud (by my standards) and has low end for days..

Update on my MB 500 Fusion. - Our sound man says it has a low level electrical hum and I should not use it to gig since it wrecks havoc in the PA and drives him crazy when he's mixing us. Sounds great at rehearsal even if I do notice a slight electrical noise. But it's a real let down that I can't use it for gigs.

If you got it new, call GK. Their customer service is very highly regarded here although I can't say I've had to use it.

Yes call for repair, you might have a bad tube.

Put a di in front of the amp. That should determine if the hum is your amp or if it is coming from elsewhere. If it is the amp, call GK and arrange for service. Too good an amp to sit on the shelf...
