Paramore Rig?

Firstly congrats on the dep slot, secondly what's the gear plan? Are you just going to use Jeremy's gear while he's on paternity leave? Or are you sneaking some toys in there?

Also are you going to play slap bass on ain't it fun? If so what multi string coffee table bass will you be doing it on? :hyper: :D

Congrats to Jeremy on the inbound new born and I believe similar congrats are in order for you too? :hiding:

I'm using Jeremy's very, very sophisticated rig, which sounds quite good. It's similar to my NIN rig...dual redundant, Sans amp-based, MIDI switching, with Ashdown power and two 8x10's. Also his basses, his strings, his tunings, etc.

I literally flew into Philadelphia on the day of show on Wednesday, put on my in-ears, and walked onto the stage and was handed his bass, and played to a full arena. No rehearsal, no soundcheck. It was gnarly. But somehow I got out alive. Next shows will be much easier.

Yes, slap bass on ain't it fun, but I'm just rocking one of Jeremy's G3 basses in C# F# B E tuning.

Yes, my wife is expecting!

I feel better about my fill-in situation tomorrow now. Not even close to this stressful. Ha ha ha. :)

Congrats on the baby!! When are you expecting to take your own paternity leave?

First, congrats on your incoming offspring. That's gnarly. Perhaps he/she will be blessed with the fro?

Second, can you do a run-down of the gear you're using with Paramore? How was learning the bass parts? was it planned you'd be filling in and had time to learn the material or was it like a days' notice type of thing?

Third, does Zelly have the fro?

Thanks. I don't personally see having a child on the way as "gnarly", but to each his own perspective. The Paramore rig is basically Sans Amp PSA 1.1's cascading into Ashdown heads, each driving an 8x10 and a 2x15. Otherwise, I haven't really been paying attention. Learning the bass parts was easy. It's fun playing for my friends, they are such nice people.

Actually looked up what gnarly meant, I've been using it in the wrong context for years! sorry 'bout that!

This link should answer most gear questions, great videos. Very detailed! Riley seems to REALLY know his stuff. That's a crazy rig!

How many of the basses are tuned standard and tuned C#?

And what tuning is Still Into You in?

Hi Justin,

I found a rig rundown-type of thing with Jeremy & Riley, but I've got a few questions that aren't covered I hope you could answer since you've used the gear?

1. In his rack, what is the plain black pedal with one knob and green light beside the MXR octave?

2. What is the reverb used for?

Thank you!
