My written French is pathetic, yet my oral is fine. I learned French, growing up in Montreal. The past ten years have been in the French past of Switzerland, and most recently half of time is spent in France.

Avec languanges, vous avez tendance à les perdre, si vous ne les utilisez pas. Dans le champ médical, et dans les arts culinaire espagnol est une langue beaucoup plus utilisée en Amérique.

Moi, je crois que c'est le vocabulaire qu'on perd avant tous. J'oublis comment dire certain mots! C'est a cause d'un manque de pratique. C'est un peut drole, mais je peut lire La Presse sur leur website (?) avec aucun problème, mais quand ça vient pour le parler - ai,yai,yai! Je me souvient de la structure de la langue Français, mais comment dire certain mots, ça me cause beaucoup de problêmes.

I noticed pretty much the same thing with English, while I was never really good at it I noticed I lost a lot of what I had when I stopped speaking it on a regular basis through gaming clans and the such. My main problem is your freaking verb tenses, I tend to just add 'ed to every verb and think it's their past form haha.
Here in New England there is a large population of people that are the descendents of French-Canadians who migrated here from Quebec in the 19th and early 20th Centuries, searching for and finding better economic opportunities. Unfortunately the French language has all but disappeared in the ensuing years. Here in Spencer I've gotten to know a lot of people of French descent, and it's mostly the elderly who still remember French, and even then they have difficulty speaking it. Lots of French surnames here, such as Gagne, Berthiaume, Lacroix, Tremblay, Aucoin, and Letendre, but the language is pretty much gone.
Moi, je parle un hybride du Francais-Canadienne, Francais parisienne, et 'Franglais'. Depuis la fin d'école, j'ai perdu un peu de mes abilités. Heureusement, au travaille il y'avait plusieurs gens de l'Afrique qui parelais Francais.

Oui, je faire Francais a GCSE car a mon college tous le monde faire une langue.
I am in the top group for french, all it means is that I can blunder my way through a basic conversation and use google translate well(ish).
BTW any accents missing are deliberate because I can't be bothered to go onto word and copy and paste a lot.
