Hey guys, I'm a former student of Pat Martino's (one of the best jazz guitarists in history) and this is a quick-n-dirty lesson about how to play one of his famous lines in a 14 fret pattern down the fingerboard. This is an excellent exercise which should be transposed to all keys and learned all over the fingerboard.

I love starting lines on the 11th like this.

yes, descending 11,3,b3 and then back to the 11 is one of the coker licks though his version was based on the diminished scale. Martino stole all this stuff from coltrane as you probably know. Just about all of Martino's entire style is based off this '57 coltrane recording...
