Patriotic GAS

Please no politics, just GAS.

It appears that substantial stimulus is coming our way soon. Some of that money will be earmarked for some responsible adult things, but we should get enough that I can pass some GAS. I know some things I might buy, but I talk about my GAS so much, I want to hear what others might do to musically boost the economy?
A question to ponder before you spend on non-essential items. Will this "substantial stimulus" replace your income over the next six months, or more?

The Coronavirus Stimulus, if passed, would provide and additional $500.00 per child.

One thing that’s important to keep in mind before anyone goes out and blows their stimulus money on gear, is that it hasn’t been determined how it’s going to be taxed. They could make it tax free, or they could make it taxable income. The government could make it so that the cash payment may have to be repaid on that year’s tax return. For example, say you’re single and you receive a check for $1,000 now. Next year, if you’re supposed to get a refund for $3,000, the government would deduct that $1,000 and give you the net difference of $2,000 as your 2020 refund. It’s like an advance on your own money, so-to-speak. Or, they could decide to make it free money. A gift from the government. I wouldn’t bet on that last one - not to get too political, but let’s just say that I have less faith that this administration would do the “right thing” than I’ve had in most of the previous administrations.
Personally I hope it's not tax free, if people like me (so far haven't missed a paycheck) get it too. There HAS to be some difference between people whose income has vanished and people who are merely capable of spending more money if we have it.

We don't qualify at the Fingers house. But that's a good problem to have, I suppose.

We are spending more than usual at local restaurants. I've made some grocery store runs for locals at risk. But Mrs.Fingers and I are both essential workforce in the medical biz. So we haven't had time to scratch our butts, much less spend any money.

When this is all over, the Fingers family is going on a trip!!! We're gonna eat at buffets, hug strangers, and maybe even lick a doorknob or two. :D

I can't really think of any instrument-related GAS I'm feeling right now, but I have a few pedal modding projects I've been wanting to get done for a while and haven't gotten around to. Maybe I'll do that sometime in the next few months. Germanium diode option for my Dunwich ODB, high passed clean blend on my Throat Locust, maybe some other goodies here and there. I already ordered up a Wazacraft Metal Zone, maybe I'll look into possible clean blend mod options for that too.

Update: Screw clean blends. I was killing time online, looked over the Damnation Audio site and saw their new Mammoth Tamer modded pedal looper. MINE. I'm lucky enough to have a stable income in the middle of this mess, I'm not rich but I can afford to pick up a couple goodies now when people could really use the business.
