For your consideration a 2017 Paul Lairat Stega bass. This bass was built for 2017 Winter NAMM and is absolutely beautiful. I have owned many basses throughout the years and this one has been one of my favorites. The Madagascar Rosewood fretboard is sublime. It is truely a joy to play. Some of the users in Talkbass describe it as one of their 'Holy Grail' basses.

    The specs are the following:

    Scale: 34"
Neck wood: wenge, mahogany, maple, walnot
    Headstock: top in olive
    Fretboard: Madagascar Rosewood
    Body Top: Olive
    Body Back: mahogany
    Splints: mahogany, maple, and walnut
    Bridges: ABM
    Space strings: 18mm
    Electronic: John East 3 Band
    Pickups: Delano XTender
    Ramp: Madagascar Rosewood

This bass is absolutely amazing! One of my favorite basses that I have owned thus far (and I have owned a lot!)

I just had this bass set up by Chicago Fret Works. They do a great job setting up instruments and they put on a new set of strings. Plays and sounds fantastic! This Stega is ready to go!

New this bass would cost close to 6K for a six string. On top of that - you would need to wait around 6 months for a build from Paul. Since some TB might not know about the quality of instrument - Bass Club of Chicago is selling a 5 string (Paul Lairat Stega Deluxe 5 Buckeye) . Build quality and sound quality is right up there with other top builders (Fodera, Sadowsky).

Additional information about these basses can be found here: Paul Lairat | Stega 6 strings Deluxe

The bass is in good condition with minor scratches on the headstock and some on body (typical for a bass that has been played)

Gabriel plays a Stega 6 but has an extended fretboard:

Gabriel is a beast and I hate him. :) Just kidding, he is such an AMAZING player. He sent me a press kit of his with some goodies and a letter when he was about 12 or 13 ? He's one of the best.

I agree that he is one the best. Can't wait to see where his musical path will take him.
