(Just kidding. I've always loved the notion of "orbiting" the tonic or tonal center without relentlessly hammering it home, but to be honest I always treated that more as a soloing technique than a grooving/holding down the foundation technique. Would love to find some examples in Mile's repertoire of what Paul was referring to.)
